Degerfors IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingvar Granberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Karpaty Krosno's Waldemar Prusek got a free kick in the 5th minute. Wasyl Sidorowicz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Helge Alberg. After a rather tough play, Karpaty Krosno's Mateusz Kochanowicz got a free kick in the 11th minute. Ingvar Granberg didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 19th minute. Degerfors IF's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Eric Ivarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateusz Kochanowicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 27thth minute of the game Ingvar Granberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karpaty Krosno's Wasyl Sidorowicz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Torsten Kock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Karpaty Krosno's Wasyl Sidorowicz got control of the ball when Ingvar Granberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mateusz Kochanowicz got in the 34th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Eric Ivarsson handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateusz Kochanowicz in the 38th minute of play forced Degerfors IF's goalkeeper Eric Ivarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With splendid footwork Torsten Kock arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-0 by the left pole in the game's 44th minute.

The wind increased when Ingvar Granberg made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ingvar Granberg in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wasyl Sidorowicz saved Karpaty Krosno from getting behind. Eugeniusz Lizewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 62 played minutes Karpaty Krosno got a freekick which was hit by Cyryl Brytka. After 63 played minutes Karpaty Krosno got a freekick which was hit by Leon Gamza. After recieving a nice pass, Degerfors IF's Helge Alberg tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agne Widberg in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wasyl Sidorowicz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ingvar Granberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wasyl Sidorowicz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Karpaty Krosno's Beniamin Karp got a free kick in the 81st minute. Agne Widberg scored 3-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wasyl Sidorowicz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Degerfors IF's Agne Widberg in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Karpaty Krosno's goalie prevented a goal. 93 minutes into the match, Torsten Kock had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wasyl Sidorowicz. Karpaty Krosno's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Torsten Kock was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. A collision led to Karpaty Krosno getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jurand Tyszka hit a great ball. Degerfors IF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
