Fokke Veenhuis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven Skark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute Sven Skark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fokke Veenhuis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Holger Johnsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Twan Lute, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pieter-Jan Roeles during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 played minutes AC Pitt Bier got a freekick which was hit by Pieter-Jan Roeles. If Sven Skark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 21 minutes into the match, AC Pitt Bier's goal looked a bit too open when Sven Skark came free, but Fokke Veenhuis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Holger Johnsson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 29th minute, Vincent Wielens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the game, AC Pitt Bier's Twan Lute nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Holger Johnsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Kim Billvall kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Holger Johnsson was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Twan Lute capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Twan Lute really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 48th minute, Sven Skark ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fokke Veenhuis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Sven Skark made the kick off in the second half. Vincent Wielens was shown his second yellow card after 60 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Vincent Wielens hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 66 played minutes AC Pitt Bier got a freekick which was hit by Pieter-Jan Roeles. A collision led to Protegéerna getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Holger Lekberg hit a great ball. Pascall de Vries recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Holger Johnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pieter-Jan Roeles in the 76th minute of play. Holger Johnsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascall de Vries in the 77th minute of the match. AC Pitt Bier's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Bo-Erik Springfält scored to the left of an out of position Fokke Veenhuis, making the score, 2-2. In the 84th minute, Magnus Gustavsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Robin van Putten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pascall de Vries sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Holger Lekberg fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Protegéerna's protests and gave Holger Lekberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 89 played minutes Protegéerna got a freekick which was hit by Holger Lekberg. When AC Pitt Bier's Pieter-Jan Roeles in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Protegéerna's goalie prevented a goal. In the 94th minute Pieter-Jan Roeles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Johnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
