Protegéerna's Olof Löfkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Roy Bennet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiburcio Maore. Club Atletico Chusca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roy Bennet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of Protegéerna booed when Club Atletico Chusca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Rey didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Club Atletico Chusca fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! Club Atletico Chusca:s Tiburcio Maore showed great skill when he stopped Olof Löfkvist:s penalty. Tiburcio Maore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Bennet in the 21st minute of play. In the 27th minute, Club Atletico Chusca's Alfonso Perrando dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. A collision led to Protegéerna getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Olof Löfkvist hit a great ball. Freddy Gil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Roy Bennet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiburcio Maore was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 36th match minute, Protegéerna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Lundström to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute Roy Bennet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Maore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Chusca's goal looked a bit too open when Roy Bennet came free, but Tiburcio Maore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

53 minutes into the game, Hilario Juvenal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico Chusca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Protegéerna the free kick. A collision led to Club Atletico Chusca getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Hilario Juvenal hit a great ball. Tiburcio Maore came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Protegéerna's Roy Bennet. But to his dismay, Roy Bennet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Protegéerna's Anders Malmberg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Feliciano Rey, made in the 62nd minute of the game. The supporters of Club Atletico Chusca booed when Protegéerna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erling Fredriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Protegéerna's Erling Fredriksson got a free kick in the 68th minute. Club Atletico Chusca's Tiburcio Maore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico Chusca from getting a goal against them. A sloppy throw-in by Feliciano Rey in the 75th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Protegéerna's Anders Malmberg. In the 79th minute, Roy Bennet reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tiburcio Maore. The goal made the score 1-3. Tiburcio Maore was a little too slow when Roy Gallberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 1-4. The Protegéerna fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Protegéerna's Roy Gallberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Protegéerna's attentive Anders Malmberg managed to snatch the ball when Feliciano Rey made a throw-in in the 95th minute of the game.
