Iulian Pietreanu started the match with the kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 2 minutes into the game, when Nicolae Ungureanu put in a rough tackle. Baldomiro Txindoki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gard Bredesen in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orçun Yalınalp in the 8th minute of play forced POPODARA F.C's goalkeeper Thomas Revheim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ruperto Gonza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute Gard Bredesen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomiro Txindoki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Gard Bredesen came free, but Baldomiro Txindoki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute of the match, Wilson Arósio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Thomas Revheim was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thomas Revheim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orçun Yalınalp in the 20th minute of the match. With a little luck, POPODARA F.C's Thomas Revheim got control of the ball when Wilson Arósio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Orçun Yalınalp was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 29th minute. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gard Bredesen in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baldomiro Txindoki saved FC UNIREA Alba Iulia from getting behind. Baldomiro Txindoki didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when POPODARA F.C's Gard Bredesen shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After a rather tough play, POPODARA F.C's Andres Iniesta got a free kick in the 40th minute. Bendik Bekken did an outstanding performance 45 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 0-2 to the right of an irritated Baldomiro Txindoki in the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gard Bredesen to strike the kick off in the second half. Wilson Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomas Revheim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orçun Yalınalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, POPODARA F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Petrică Cândreanu came free, but Thomas Revheim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orçun Yalınalp in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Revheim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Orçun Yalınalp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomas Revheim was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Petrică Cândreanu in the 65th minute.
