The Oakcroft Thrashers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Limburg United were winning 0-2.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörn Holm in the 53rd minute of play forced Limburg United's goalkeeper Julius Vanneste to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julius Vanneste showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörn Holm in the 59th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the game, Ingemar Jonasson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. The referee ignored Oakcroft Thrashers's protests and gave Jörn Holm a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jörn Holm in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julius Vanneste prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benigno Jerrold hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. When Fabian Orellana came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Limburg United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Orellana couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Ingemar Jonasson put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Julius Vanneste. In the 92nd minute, Anders Andersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
