When Robbrecht Jonckers fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kickers United's protests and gave Robbrecht Jonckers a yellow card for diving instead. Robbrecht Jonckers kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Simão Rosado fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 7th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. 11 minutes into the match, Lilla Jordberga BK's goal looked a bit too open when Lode Rouvroys came free, but Lennart Johansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cederik Huts was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Jorge Mendiko capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jorge Mendiko really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Kickers United's goalie and right to Marko Lindholm. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Kickers United's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Cederik Huts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Mendiko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Lilla Jordberga BK's Thomas-Jan Thomas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cederik Huts. That made the score 2-0 after 43 minutes of play. In the 47th minute Lode Rouvroys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennart Johansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lode Rouvroys to strike the kick off in the second half.
