Jan Lindström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markus Svensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Lindström made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Rikard Wolff sent off a good shot on target. 18 minutes into the game, Markus Svensson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jan Lindström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Markus Svensson in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Lindström saved Surahammar from getting behind. Real Södertälje were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Surahammar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Reynaldo Cerezo took the corner. After taking down the ball on Real Södertälje's corner Reynaldo Cerezo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jan Lindström quite easily take care of the ball. Jan Lindström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jan Lindström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from James Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After some careless play in the Surahammar defense, Conny Komen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Lindström. The Surahammar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Lindström should have stopped the shot. Surahammar's Zlatan Lion was substituted for Toninho Lara. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Svensson in the 69th minute of play forced Surahammar's goalkeeper Jan Lindström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Real Södertälje's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Benett came free, but Jack Glanselius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Real Södertälje defense, Adrian Kodzhabashev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jack Glanselius. The Real Södertälje fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jack Glanselius should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Surahammar getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Markus Wallman hit a great ball. When Markus Svensson came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Real Södertälje fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Markus Svensson couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute Markus Svensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Lindström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Lindström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nils-Åke Wickander went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-3 was the resulting score. Jan Lindström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Svensson in the 96th minute of play. Surahammar's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
