An unexpectedly hard shot by Yavuzalp Mesut in the 27th minute of play forced Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Guy Durant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sielce Warszawa's Didier Gobbelijns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anatol Hönes in the 32nd minute of play. In the 39thth minute of the game Yavuzalp Mesut who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lyon 69ers's Guy Durant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A nice corner shot did that Antonin Lory got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Didier Gobbelijns quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 44 minutes into the match, Sielce Warszawa's goalkeeper Didier Gobbelijns had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tom Beaune. Guy Durant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yavuzalp Mesut in the 45th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yavuzalp Mesut in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guy Durant saved Lyon 69ers from getting behind. With his leg Didier Gobbelijns managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Lyon 69ers's Anatol Hönes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anatol Hönes made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Sielce Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Anatol Hönes came free, but Didier Gobbelijns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 54 minutes Sielce Warszawa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Slaveyko Grúbchev who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Sielce Warszawa's goalie and right to Camille Gautheron. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Sielce Warszawa's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Camille Gautheron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yavuzalp Mesut blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guy Durant having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yavuzalp Mesut in the 60th minute of play forced Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Guy Durant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute Yavuzalp Mesut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guy Durant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guy Durant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Janusz Haskiewicz went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Guy Durant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Janusz Haskiewicz in the 78th minute of play. If Antonin Lory had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lyon 69ers's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Janusz Haskiewicz scored to the left of an out of position Guy Durant, making the score, 1-4. Janusz Haskiewicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guy Durant having to make a save. When Rodolphe Sol fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lyon 69ers's protests and gave Rodolphe Sol a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sielce Warszawa booed when Lyon 69ers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolphe Sol didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lyon 69ers's zone, Janusz Haskiewicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guy Durant came out of the goal and Janusz Haskiewicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Didier Gobbelijns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonin Lory in the 90th minute of play. Guy Durant was a little too slow when Janusz Haskiewicz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 1-5.
