Anatol Hönes started the match with the kick off. Damazy Kensicki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anatol Hönes in the 9th minute. Damazy Kensicki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anatol Hönes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th match minute, Lyon 69ers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camille Gautheron to maneuver through the defense. After 13 played minutes, Soczewki Gliwice's Zdzislaw Witek shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Guy Durant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Soczewki Gliwice reached it. Damazy Kensicki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anatol Hönes in the 15th minute. Guy Durant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Matela, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 22nd minute, Tomasz Sobania ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guy Durant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 25th minute Tomasz Sobania shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guy Durant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomasz Sobania in the 27th minute of play forced Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Guy Durant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Lyon 69ers getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Reynald Baillou hit a great ball. Elmar Roorda kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Edgar Matela hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Damazy Kensicki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tom Beaune in the 42nd minute. Tomasz Sobania recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guy Durant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomasz Sobania went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomasz Sobania to make the kick off. After 59 played minutes Lyon 69ers got a freekick which was hit by Reynald Baillou. Damazy Kensicki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anatol Hönes in the 64th minute of the match. Guy Durant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomasz Sobania in the 71st minute. Tomasz Sobania took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guy Durant. Guy Durant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Soczewki Gliwice made a substitution. Jago Back replaced Mister Rio. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Soczewki Gliwice's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marian Racoviceanu was slow to take the kick. During this time Lyon 69ers's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Marian Racoviceanu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Damazy Kensicki quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
