A nice corner shot did that Montrel Perpiñán got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joris Verheecke quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Perivaldo Eger came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the De Pelgrims fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Perivaldo Eger couldn't finish the play. Stasio Marut hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Joris Verheecke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huub Gerrits in the 18th minute of the match. Mike Zoetmulder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrija Spalević, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Wisła Tczew's Joris Verheecke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Wisła Tczew from getting a goal against them. Joris Verheecke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathias de Ruijter in the 30th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathias de Ruijter got free with Joris Verheecke in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. De Pelgrims were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Wisła Tczew's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fu Peng Feng took the corner. After 35 played minutes Wisła Tczew got a freekick which was hit by Sever Dejeu. In the 41st minute Huub Gerrits shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joris Verheecke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Huub Gerrits had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to De Pelgrims getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Jan-Peter Kloppenburg hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in De Pelgrims's zone, Atıf Tekin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mike Zoetmulder came out of the goal and Atıf Tekin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Perivaldo Eger made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Mathias de Ruijter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Joris Verheecke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joris Verheecke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Huub Gerrits, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute Perivaldo Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joris Verheecke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Huub Gerrits in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joris Verheecke saved Wisła Tczew from getting behind. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wisła Tczew's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fu Peng Feng was slow to take the kick. During this time De Pelgrims's players had a chance to rest. Joris Verheecke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perivaldo Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Joris Verheecke didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Perivaldo Eger went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 74th minute Mathias de Ruijter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joris Verheecke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathias de Ruijter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joris Verheecke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Mathias de Ruijter hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Joris Verheecke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perivaldo Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81stth minute of the game Perivaldo Eger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wisła Tczew's Joris Verheecke was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joris Verheecke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mathias de Ruijter's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 91st minute, Elazar Calderon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wisła Tczew fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1.
