The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. DINAMO's Horea Hurmuzache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikolaj Budzynski in the 3rd minute of play. Mikolaj Budzynski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ryszard Borcz charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ryszard Borcz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of KS LEW Chorzów booed when DINAMO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryszard Borcz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th match minute, DINAMO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrei Arseni to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th match minute, DINAMO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Greblă to maneuver through the defense. Horea Hurmuzache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wieslaw Maziarski in the 28th minute of play. With a little luck, KS LEW Chorzów's Wit Kasperowicz got control of the ball when George Martin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Horea Hurmuzache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikolaj Budzynski in the 36th minute of the match. After 37 minutes DINAMO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wieslaw Maziarski who took care of the corner kick. Wieslaw Maziarski made a great header on KS LEW Chorzów's corner, it was just that DINAMO's Horea Hurmuzache managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 39th minute, Mikolaj Budzynski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horea Hurmuzache was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Wieslaw Maziarski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Mikolaj Budzynski made a precise shot to the right of Horea Hurmuzache. DINAMO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ryszard Borcz made a kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind DINAMO's goalkeeper Horea Hurmuzache, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 54 minutes into the game, Mikolaj Budzynski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Horea Hurmuzache was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryszard Borcz in the 57th minute of play forced KS LEW Chorzów's goalkeeper Wit Kasperowicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Wieslaw Maziarski notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of DINAMO's Horea Hurmuzache. Horea Hurmuzache was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wieslaw Maziarski in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Horea Hurmuzache, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Juliusz Cuber hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Horea Hurmuzache was a little too slow when Mikolaj Budzynski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-6. Wieslaw Maziarski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mikolaj Budzynski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Eugen Bobocea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulryk Grocholski's late challenge caught a DINAMO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulryk Grocholski helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd match minute, KS LEW Chorzów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulryk Grocholski to maneuver through the defense. Horea Hurmuzache stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mikolaj Budzynski's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryszard Borcz in the 86th minute of play forced KS LEW Chorzów's goalkeeper Wit Kasperowicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horea Hurmuzache was a little too slow when Mikolaj Budzynski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 0-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wieslaw Maziarski got free with Horea Hurmuzache in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by DINAMO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wieslaw Maziarski was slow to take the kick. During this time KS LEW Chorzów's players had a chance to rest. The corner led KS LEW Chorzów's Mikolaj Budzynski to fire away a dangerous shot which Horea Hurmuzache despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. KS LEW Chorzów's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
