The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gazanfer İcmal kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Tzvetoslav Vúlchov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tevfik Köken. KOO Tigers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tzvetoslav Vúlchov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 15 played minutes KOO Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Alemdar Atasan. Tzvetoslav Vúlchov took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tevfik Köken. Tevfik Köken dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The supporters of KOO Tigers booed when VN SOKOLI-VARNA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogomil Chebishev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haralampi Kúrkelanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hurşit Tamerk, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 27th minute Tzvetoslav Vúlchov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tevfik Köken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as KOO Tigers's Hurşit Tamerk slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Haralampi Kúrkelanov. That made the score 1-4 after 30 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tzvetoslav Vúlchov in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tevfik Köken prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vihren Bozhanov scored 1-5 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tevfik Köken, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Haralampi Kúrkelanov was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Enginsu Oyal. 44 minutes into the match, KOO Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Krotev came free, but Tevfik Köken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The KOO Tigers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. VN SOKOLI-VARNA were winning 1-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vihren Bozhanov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Justo Maore kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Tevfik Köken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vihren Bozhanov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, KOO Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Krotev came free, but Tevfik Köken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gazanfer İcmal fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KOO Tigers's protests and gave Gazanfer İcmal a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to KOO Tigers getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Gazanfer İcmal hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the game, Vihren Bozhanov recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tevfik Köken. Vihren Bozhanov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. Enginsu Oyal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Haralampi Kúrkelanov. VN SOKOLI-VARNA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
