PERSPOLIS's Virgilio Marcilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bran Zinov in the 9th minute of play. Virgilio Marcilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edinho do Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edinho do Nascimento in the 16th minute of play forced PERSPOLIS's goalkeeper Virgilio Marcilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AC Collins's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Che Reale in the 17th minute. In the 24th minute, Bernardo Di Carlo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the game, Bernardo Di Carlo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The tension between the PERSPOLIS and the AC Collins players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, PERSPOLIS's Donatello Incera got a free kick in the 38th minute. When Edinho do Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the AC Collins fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edinho do Nascimento couldn't finish the play. After 42nd play minutes Edinho do Nascimento shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Virgilio Marcilla and just under the crossbar into goal. 47 minutes into the match, Edinho do Nascimento notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of PERSPOLIS's Virgilio Marcilla. Virgilio Marcilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The PERSPOLIS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AC Collins were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edinho do Nascimento made a kick off. After a rather tough play, AC Collins's Karol Charlos got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Cristoforo Giacomini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Vives, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 58th minute of the match Donatello Incera completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Donatello Incera a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Donatello Incera hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Che Reale came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Virgilio Marcilla could save by the left post. The supporters of AC Collins booed when PERSPOLIS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arash Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as AC Collins's Edinho do Nascimento slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Virgilio Marcilla. That made the score 0-3 after 69 minutes of play. Baltazar Vives kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, AC Collins's goal looked a bit too open when Curcio Amer came free, but Cristoforo Giacomini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to AC Collins getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Bran Zinov hit a great ball. Baltazar Vives hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Virgilio Marcilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Che Reale in the 89th minute. Bernardo Di Carlo kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. AC Collins's Bran Zinov got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
