Virgilio Marcilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrian Brander went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 9 minutes into the match, Köping's goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar Vives came free, but Jens Bohlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Köping's Jens Bohlin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Delgado in the 10th minute of play. If Alex Lidström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, Elliott Bredberg notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of PERSPOLIS's Virgilio Marcilla. Virgilio Marcilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gaston Delgado's late challenge caught a Köping's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaston Delgado helped the player get up and apologised. Gaston Delgado kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Köping's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Delgado came free, but Jens Bohlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Curcio Amer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens Bohlin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Florian Azofra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Köping's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Delgado came free, but Jens Bohlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Gaston Delgado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jens Bohlin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Florian Azofra kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Köping's Alex Lidström got a free kick in the 36th minute. Adrian Brander might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Virgilio Marcilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adrian Brander ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of PERSPOLIS booed when Köping was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Brander didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Vives in the 46th minute of play forced Köping's goalkeeper Jens Bohlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alex Lidström to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, PERSPOLIS's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Lidström came free, but Virgilio Marcilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in PERSPOLIS's zone, Adrian Brander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Marcilla came out of the goal and Adrian Brander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Virgilio Marcilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Brander in the 62nd minute of the match. Jens Bohlin made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Gaston Delgado sent off a good shot on target. Virgilio Marcilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Brander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alex Lidström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Köping's Jens Bohlin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Köping from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the match, PERSPOLIS's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Abelsson came free, but Virgilio Marcilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute, Donatello Incera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute, Adrian Brander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stellan Söderqvist hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, PERSPOLIS's Arash Lara broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donatello Incera in the 97th minute of play forced Köping's goalkeeper Jens Bohlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Köping succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though PERSPOLIS had controlled the match.
