The supporters of PERSPOLIS booed when Twierdza Wroclaw was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barnaba Zdeb didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10thth minute of the game Zbyszek Mnich who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PERSPOLIS's Virgilio Marcilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Boguslaw Ziemba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donatello Incera, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Tytus Zieba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Virgilio Marcilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cyryl Kossakowski got free with Virgilio Marcilla in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. PERSPOLIS's Virgilio Marcilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbyszek Mnich in the 30th minute of play. Donatello Incera charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donatello Incera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st minute, Donatello Incera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tytus Zieba struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Virgilio Marcilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Twierdza Wroclaw. Cyryl Kossakowski hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Boguslaw Ziemba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xuaco Otero in the 41st minute of play. In the 54th minute, PERSPOLIS's Xuaco Otero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Zbyszek Mnich managed to get in a good position for a shot. Twierdza Wroclaw's supporters rose to their feet, but Zbyszek Mnich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgilio Marcilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Virgilio Marcilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Xuaco Otero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boguslaw Ziemba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. After 92 played minutes Xuaco Otero rounded Twierdza Wroclaw's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. Although Twierdza Wroclaw had been in control for most of the match, PERSPOLIS still came away with the win.
