After a rather tough play, KOO Tigers's Gazanfer İcmal got a free kick in the 4th minute. Curcio Amer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andriy Lunin having to interfere. Hurşit Tamerk hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Florian Azofra made in the 19th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Donatello Incera however managed to control. After a rather tough play, PERSPOLIS's Baltazar Vives got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Virgilio Marcilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ertan Dural's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Ertan Dural dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Virgilio Marcilla, 2-0. 34 minutes into the match, Ertan Dural notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of PERSPOLIS's Virgilio Marcilla. Virgilio Marcilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 37th minute Ertan Dural shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Marcilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 played minutes PERSPOLIS got a freekick which was hit by Curcio Amer. Hurşit Tamerk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Ertan Dural managed to get in a good position for a shot. KOO Tigers's supporters rose to their feet, but Ertan Dural was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgilio Marcilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Curcio Amer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Curcio Amer charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Curcio Amer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 52 played minutes PERSPOLIS got a freekick which was hit by Curcio Amer. Virgilio Marcilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ertan Dural went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 58th minute Ertan Dural shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Marcilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ertan Dural in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgilio Marcilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hurşit Tamerk during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th match minute, KOO Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hurşit Tamerk to maneuver through the defense. 72 minutes into the match, KOO Tigers's Hurşit Tamerk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgilio Marcilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 73rd match minute, PERSPOLIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Curcio Amer to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, PERSPOLIS's Andriy Lunin threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Donatello Incera, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, PERSPOLIS's Florian Azofra got a free kick in the 84th minute. Engin Candar charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Engin Candar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ertan Dural recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute Ertan Dural shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Marcilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Many of PERSPOLIS's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. PERSPOLIS may have spent more time on the ball, but KOO Tigers were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
