With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgilio Marcilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 6 minutes into the match, AC Collins's Alexander Di Persio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgilio Marcilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Edinho do Nascimento sped through PERSPOLIS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Virgilio Marcilla. In the 14th minute AC Collins were awarded a corner. Zygmunt Pisarczyk went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Zygmunt Pisarczyk almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but PERSPOLIS's Virgilio Marcilla did a great save. If Zygmunt Pisarczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zygmunt Pisarczyk's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Virgilio Marcilla skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zygmunt Pisarczyk got free with Virgilio Marcilla in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Curcio Amer to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zygmunt Pisarczyk in the 51st minute of play forced PERSPOLIS's goalkeeper Virgilio Marcilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PERSPOLIS's Baltazar Vives got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Virgilio Marcilla came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Collins's Zygmunt Pisarczyk. But to his dismay, Zygmunt Pisarczyk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. When AC Collins's Zygmunt Pisarczyk in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PERSPOLIS's goalie prevented a goal. PERSPOLIS's Virgilio Marcilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edinho do Nascimento in the 70th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edinho do Nascimento in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Virgilio Marcilla saved PERSPOLIS from getting behind. Virgilio Marcilla came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by AC Collins's Alexander Di Persio. But to his dismay, Alexander Di Persio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. AC Collins's Bran Zinov was substituted for Alexander Di Persio. Virgilio Marcilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zygmunt Pisarczyk went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. AC Collins's Zygmunt Pisarczyk got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Borgatello in the 86th minute of play forced PERSPOLIS's goalkeeper Virgilio Marcilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 93 minutes, Christian Borgatello made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. PERSPOLIS's Virgilio Marcilla tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. AC Collins walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
