The supporters of Delphine Stars booed when Águilas Poblanas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Chayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delphine Stars were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Águilas Poblanas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emil Rădoi took the corner. Marcu Loghin made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Tiburcio Firman sent off a good shot on target. Tiburcio Firman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcu Loghin came out and tried to block the shot, but Tiburcio Firman slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 30th minute. Marcu Loghin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Chayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 1-1 became the score in the 36th minute when Marian Taşcău elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Nicodim Drăgan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Delphine Stars getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Costică Vărzaru hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
