After a rather tough play, Köping's Nils-Åke Arvidsson got a free kick in the 3rd minute. A collision led to Köping getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Jon Löfgren hit a great ball. Ulf Wallman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christer Sundin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute Christer Sundin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Wallman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Doyle Brunson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rudolf Tinglöv fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Erik Brun having to interfere. Ulf Wallman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christer Sundin, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. When Christer Sundin got free in front of the goal in the 20th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ulf Wallman was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ulf Wallman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertil Bollström, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Ulf Wallman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Michael Larsson in the 29th minute of play. Köping's Ulf Wallman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Sundin in the 34th minute of play. Rudolf Tinglöv fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Erik Brun having to interfere. Ulf Wallman came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Bertil Bollström. But to his dismay, Bertil Bollström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 44th match minute, Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kennet Finnman to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulrik Västberg in the 56th minute of play forced Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Brun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulf Wallman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christer Sundin's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Christer Sundin scored 0-2 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulf Wallman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christer Sundin got free with Ulf Wallman in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Christer Sundin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulf Wallman was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Dag Strand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulf Wallman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christer Sundin in the 74th minute of play. Christer Sundin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ulf Wallman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christer Sundin in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulf Wallman saved Köping from getting behind. Christer Sundin did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Ulf Wallman 81 minutes into the match. With his leg Ulf Wallman managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Christer Sundin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Christer Sundin sped through Köping's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ulf Wallman. Köping's Ulf Wallman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Köping from getting a goal against them. With his leg Ulf Wallman managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Christer Sundin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 96th minute of the match, Christer Sundin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ulf Wallman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
