Justo Sagrario might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonard Baran. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Justo Sagrario ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 15th minute, Traian Muscaș left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC BaLiSt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 25th minute of the match, Tiburcio Firman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leonard Baran saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Laurențiu Encica tried in the 26th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Leonard Baran a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-1. Pompiliu Lechințan scored 1-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matias Eder, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Pompiliu Lechințan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matias Eder was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Pompiliu Lechințan put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Matias Eder. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Roberto Mateus ran over to the corner to take the kick. Águilas Poblanas's Roberto Mateus was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Leonard Baran in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Águilas Poblanas booed when FC BaLiSt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Traian Muscaș didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, FC BaLiSt's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Chabier came free, but Leonard Baran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Roberto Mateus almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC BaLiSt's Leonard Baran did a great save. 56 minutes into the game, Pompiliu Lechințan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC BaLiSt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Águilas Poblanas the free kick.
