Mugur Gorcea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Leonard Baran made a huge save. After 28 played minutes FC BaLiSt got a freekick which was hit by Rešo Lucio. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Mugur Gorcea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Delphine Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Mugur Gorcea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonard Baran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC BaLiSt were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Delphine Stars's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sergiu Marin took the corner. Emil Rădoi thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Marcu Loghin, a very annoying self made goal in the 33rd minute which led to 0-1. After 43 minutes, Rešo Lucio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC BaLiSt and the Delphine Stars players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Rešo Lucio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonard Baran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costică Vărzaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florin Braica stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Claudiu Floreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Marcu Loghin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, FC BaLiSt's Sergiu Marin tried to score from far away in the 54th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Vasile Chira's late challenge caught a FC BaLiSt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vasile Chira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th match minute, Delphine Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasile Chira to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 57 minutes, Florin Braica managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC BaLiSt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florin Braica was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcu Loghin made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Florin Braica sent off a good shot on target. 61 minutes into the match, FC BaLiSt's goal looked a bit too open when Costică Vărzaru came free, but Leonard Baran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Delphine Stars's Marcu Loghin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Floreanu in the 64th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 73 minutes into the game, when Rešo Lucio put in a rough tackle. Bogdan Ungheanu kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Emil Rădoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonard Baran. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emil Rădoi ran back to his position shaking his head. After 82 minutes of play, Delphine Stars's Costică Vărzaru made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonard Baran was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Florin Braica got free with Marcu Loghin in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC BaLiSt were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Delphine Stars to leave the ground with a draw.
