In the 7th minute, Giannis Chatziioannou made a precise shot to the right of Laurențiu Gaciu. Exército Português's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Exército Português's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis Chatziioannou came free, but Laurențiu Gaciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laurențiu Gaciu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giannis Chatziioannou in the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Giannis Chatziioannou ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laurențiu Gaciu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ian Van Den Driessche made in the 23rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Armando Meireles. 27 minutes into the match, Exército Português's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis Chatziioannou came free, but Laurențiu Gaciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Bruno Soveral took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Bradley Allcock to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Feliks Maurycy kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bradley Allcock. That made the score 2-3 in the 31 minute of play. After 39 played minutes, Skyfall's Kostas Loukas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Laurențiu Gaciu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Skyfall reached it. Giannis Chatziioannou blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laurențiu Gaciu having to make a save. Laurențiu Gaciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giannis Chatziioannou, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Gustavo Carrasqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

Laurențiu Gaciu made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Giannis Chatziioannou sent off a good shot on target. 58 minutes into the match, Skyfall's Giannis Chatziioannou sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laurențiu Gaciu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Skyfall's Giannis Chatziioannou dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. In the 76th match minute, Exército Português was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lech Trynda to maneuver through the defense. When Toro Lindø fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Exército Português's protests and gave Toro Lindø a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes Exército Português got a freekick which was hit by Toro Lindø. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Exército Português's goalkeeper Laurențiu Gaciu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Skyfall's Giannis Chatziioannou dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-5. In the 90th minute of the match Feliks Maurycy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bradley Allcock showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 91 played minutes Exército Português got a freekick which was hit by Robert Przybylski. The Exército Português manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Skyfall to win.
