The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Andırın SK booed when Linköpings AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Blomqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Andırın SK's goal looked a bit too open when Arvid Carlsson came free, but Zhu Ao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Arvid Carlsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Zhu Ao was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Türkeş Akşit struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Jimmy Olsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Andırın SK. In the 14th minute Türkeş Akşit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Olsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Willy Witarya took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Zhu Ao to make any attempt to save it. If Türkeş Akşit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jimmy Olsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Türkeş Akşit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Andırın SK's goal looked a bit too open when Arvid Carlsson came free, but Zhu Ao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Türkeş Akşit in the 26th minute of play forced Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Jimmy Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimmy Olsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Türkeş Akşit, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Linköpings AIK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Türkeş Uğuralp ran over to the corner to take the kick. Andırın SK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Julien Staffelbach scored to the left of an out of position Zhu Ao, making the score, 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Jimmy Olsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Türkeş Akşit, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 56 minutes into the match, Andırın SK's goal looked a bit too open when Julien Staffelbach came free, but Zhu Ao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Nilsson in the 60th minute of play forced Andırın SK's goalkeeper Zhu Ao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Andırın SK's goal looked a bit too open when Arvid Carlsson came free, but Zhu Ao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Cyprian Trochowski could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Jimmy Olsson however easily saved by the left post. In the 72nd minute, Türkeş Akşit got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andırın SK's Lou Mazuret was substituted for Türkeş Akşit. Andırın SK made a substitution. Batıhan Saik replaced Türkeş Uğuralp. Jimmy Olsson made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Batıhan Saik sent off a good shot on target. 88 minutes into the match, Andırın SK's Lou Mazuret sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jimmy Olsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Linköpings AIK's Jimmy Olsson got control of the ball when Batıhan Saik tried to sneak it across the goal line. Linköpings AIK's Marbjörn Garpsson was substituted for Stefan Blomqvist. After some careless play in the Linköpings AIK defense, Batıhan Saik kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jimmy Olsson. The Linköpings AIK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jimmy Olsson should have stopped the shot.
