TIBURON F.C's Carolo Llorenc was substituted for Clemente Azeari. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Honorio Justin was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paco Sancho got free with David Seaman in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 56th minute of play forced TIBURON F.C's goalkeeper Maximino Merexildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Jenipapo SC's goalie and right to Carlos Saúl Menem. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Jenipapo SC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Justin in the 65th minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper David Seaman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The TIBURON F.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing TIBURON F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
