Errecaborda AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilhelm Nienhaus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victorino Sandalio got free with Rune Jarstein in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Hertha 1969's Kristian Oswald got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute, Pastor Ado made a precise shot to the right of Rune Jarstein. Hertha 1969's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Pastor Ado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Rune Jarstein made a huge save. Wilhelm Nienhaus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th match minute, Errecaborda AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero Jerardo to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Wilhelm Nienhaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, Errecaborda AFC's Isidro Gines sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rune Jarstein narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victorino Sandalio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hertha 1969's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
