Ulises Steven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zachary Pliszka in the 38th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Koit during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulises Steven showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rodrigo Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robertinho Carabajal in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

António Varanda ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AFC Koolkerke had won after a very even match.
