Jimmy Olsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Jakue in the 6th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Jakue in the 7th minute of play forced Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Jimmy Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Sporting Buceo were awarded a corner. Juan Sartori went to the cornerflag to take it. 16 minutes into the match, Sporting Buceo's goal looked a bit too open when Albin Nilsson came free, but Maximo Horquizar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Jakue in the 22nd minute of play forced Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Jimmy Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes Linköpings AIK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Juan Sartori who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Sporting Buceo's Juan Sartori to fire away a dangerous shot which Jimmy Olsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sporting Buceo's Segundo Aureo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jan-Erik Lundqvist in the 26 minute of the game. Sporting Buceo's Rainier Gregoire got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute of the game Stefan Blomqvist made a throw-in which Julien Staffelbach played forward. Sporting Buceo's Maximo Horquizar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Buceo from getting a goal against them. Maximo Horquizar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arvid Carlsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arvid Carlsson made a kick off. Duro Back fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Olsson having to interfere. When Charly Good fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Buceo's protests and gave Charly Good a yellow card for diving instead. Charly Good kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Jimmy Olsson made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Isaias Jakue sent off a good shot on target. Charly Good could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Jimmy Olsson made a huge save. After 63 minutes Linköpings AIK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Juan Sartori who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Sporting Buceo's corner Duro Back fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jimmy Olsson quite easily take care of the ball. Sporting Buceo made a substitution. Xavies Casavela replaced Rainier Gregoire. Sporting Buceo made a substitution. Maureen Franco replaced Isaias Jakue. In the 69th minute of the game Stefan Blomqvist made a throw-in which Tavo Tomat played forward. Arvid Carlsson struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Maximo Horquizar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Linköpings AIK. Linköpings AIK made a substitution. Joakim Mikaelsson replaced Willy Witarya. When Linköpings AIK's Julien Staffelbach in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Maximo Horquizar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvid Carlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Jimmy Olsson made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Xinto Carreiras sent off a good shot on target. Filcho Kordov lost his temper 94 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of Linköpings AIK booed when Sporting Buceo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filcho Kordov didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Linköpings AIK players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
