Ulises Steven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix van As in the 17th minute of play. Yorrick Zoethout made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Koit in the 19th minute of play. When Robertinho Carabajal came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the AFC Koolkerke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robertinho Carabajal couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, AFC Koolkerke's Ulises Steven got control of the ball when Steven Homan tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Steven Homan got free with Ulises Steven in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. SV Balverliefd's Yorrick Zoethout played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robertinho Carabajal in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix van As in the 32nd minute of play forced AFC Koolkerke's goalkeeper Ulises Steven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to AFC Koolkerke getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Daevy Blaine hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, AFC Koolkerke's goal looked a bit too open when Melker Gudmundsson came free, but Ulises Steven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half AFC Koolkerke were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robertinho Carabajal to strike the kick off in the second half. Yorrick Zoethout made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Robertinho Carabajal sent off a good shot on target. Christer Sunde hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After having played for 54 minutes, Jimmy Stenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Balverliefd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jimmy Stenberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Yorrick Zoethout managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when AFC Koolkerke's Robertinho Carabajal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 67th minute Harmen Kloppenburg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Steven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yorrick Zoethout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robertinho Carabajal in the 69th minute of the match. Robertinho Carabajal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harmen Kloppenburg hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Yorrick Zoethout was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Robertinho Carabajal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Robertinho Carabajal really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Harmen Kloppenburg made in the 83rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AFC Koolkerke's Clóvis Bittencourt. The audience was convinced that Robertinho Carabajal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yorrick Zoethout was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AFC Koolkerke walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
