In the 20th minute of the match, Marti Voltri got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jacobo Nores was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Mart Agu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mart Agu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Verhulitsa's Torbjörn Eriksson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Albert Raun charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albert Raun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Verhulitsa's Albert Raun got a free kick in the 44th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mart Agu during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Verhulitsa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mart Agu didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Torbjörn Eriksson went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Paraguay's Ivan Prats managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Joosep Taevere in the 56 minute of the game. Hector Covarrubias's late challenge caught a Verhulitsa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marti Voltri might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marti Voltri ran back to his position shaking his head. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Verhulitsa fully deserved thier win.
