Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Durmuş Abay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentino Ferrant hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panait Urdoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 2-0 became the score in the 27th minute when Adam Pracki elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Ricardo Zorita successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 44 minutes into the game, Joshua Curbelo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Salvador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AKYAZISPOR the free kick. After 45 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Curbelo. Valentino Ferrant hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in El Salvador's zone, Öztürk Nezir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal and Öztürk Nezir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Öztürk Nezir in the 61st minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Melih Uğurata was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
