They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Alberto Andreola was a little too slow when Liviu Gogu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 0-11. Valdieri's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Cosme Cruz scored to the left of an out of position Alberto Andreola, making the score, 0-14. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 0-15 when Vasile Ştirbu sped through Valdieri's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alberto Andreola.
