In the 5th minute Cipriano Ganix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8 minutes Frenchville Sports Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Constantino Salgado who took care of the corner kick. PERSPOLIS's Constantino Salgado was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edvaldo Gaspar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gianluigi Donnarumma stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Berke Rush's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Axel Uplegger during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes PERSPOLIS got a freekick which was hit by Axel Uplegger. Gianluigi Donnarumma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berke Rush in the 23rd minute of the match. Berke Rush received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Gianluigi Donnarumma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Ganix in the 26th minute of play forced Frenchville Sports Club's goalkeeper Edvaldo Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Facundo Feria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Starri Ööpik in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gianluigi Donnarumma, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Edvaldo Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Feria in the 53rd minute of the match. Cipriano Ganix could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Edvaldo Gaspar made a huge save. Edvaldo Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Facundo Feria, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 80th match minute, Frenchville Sports Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Csaba Baló to maneuver through the defense. In the last second Edvaldo Gaspar throw himself and got hold of the ball when Facundo Feria in the 86thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind PERSPOLIS's goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 95th minute, PERSPOLIS's Facundo Feria dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. The PERSPOLIS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing PERSPOLIS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
