Zafer Hürsel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Santxol's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute Surahammar were awarded a corner. Victor Santxol went to the cornerflag to take it. Zafer Hürsel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Billy Fristedt went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Victor Santxol took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zafer Hürsel. Zafer Hürsel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's Zafer Hürsel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radamel Oakley in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Radamel Oakley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Surahammar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Håkan Kjellman in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan Lindström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jan Lindström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Emander in the 37th minute of the match. Zafer Hürsel came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Surahammar's Victor Santxol. But to his dismay, Victor Santxol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Zafer Hürsel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Santxol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Victor Santxol made the kick off in the second half. FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's Zafer Hürsel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radamel Oakley in the 52nd minute of play. The corner ended in Vincent Benett almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's Zafer Hürsel did a great save. Jan Lindström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Snell in the 55th minute of the match. André Pettersson in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zafer Hürsel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 80th minute Radamel Oakley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zafer Hürsel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zafer Hürsel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Pettersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Pettersson got free with Zafer Hürsel in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radamel Oakley in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zafer Hürsel saved FC Zenit Saint Petersburg from getting behind. Zafer Hürsel made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Pettersson in the 94th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Surahammar walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
