The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mikael Liberatore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Mikael Liberatore might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anders Lundqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mikael Liberatore ran back to his position shaking his head. Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Liberatore in the 12th minute of play. When Mikael Liberatore got free in front of the goal in the 13th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Anders Lundqvist was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Sören Tunberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bebben Johansson in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Wargön's goal looked a bit too open when Loco Durazno came free, but Sören Tunberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute Loco Durazno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sören Tunberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th minute Wargön were awarded a corner. Bayan Baye went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Golden Lions FC's goalie and right to Mikael Liberatore. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Golden Lions FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Sören Tunberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loco Durazno in the 34th minute of the match. Igor Dzierwa hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Sören Tunberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Steven, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mikael Liberatore to strike the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sören Tunberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wargön's Sören Tunberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loco Durazno in the 72nd minute of play. After 75 played minutes Golden Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Arne Tönnberg. Wargön's Nils-Arne Nilsson was substituted for Iwan Czeberowski. Golden Lions FC made a substitution.
