Dimitris Panagiotakis was slow to take the kick. During this time Boca Juniors's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Boca Juniors's corner Dimitris Panagiotakis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vince Di Cola quite easily take care of the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Wu Qi came free, but Jens-Åke Källberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
