After 23 played minutes, Wargön's Bayan Baye shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jens-Åke Källberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Wargön reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zdzislaw Liermann in the 25th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Jens-Åke Källberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sören Tunberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torgny Landin in the 28th minute of play. Vilhelm Holm made in the 41st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Torgny Landin. Wargön's Sören Tunberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Wargön from getting a goal against them.
