The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hector Hugo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Anders Lundqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Hugo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 6 played minutes Golden Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Georg Termander. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Aurel Crivoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loco Durazno in the 9th minute of play. Loco Durazno might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aurel Crivoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Loco Durazno ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loco Durazno in the 11th minute of play forced Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's goalkeeper Aurel Crivoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hector Hugo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Björn Björkqvist made in the 24th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Marcelo Steven however managed to control. Anders Lundqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hector Hugo went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Loco Durazno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Aurel Crivoi made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loco Durazno got free with Aurel Crivoi in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Lions FC's zone, Hector Hugo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anders Lundqvist came out of the goal and Hector Hugo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Aurel Crivoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK from getting a goal against them. 47 minutes into the match, Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's goalkeeper Aurel Crivoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bebben Johansson. After the first half Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Loco Durazno made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Hector Hugo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anders Lundqvist. That made the score 0-2 after 52 minutes of play. 59 minutes into the match, Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's goal looked a bit too open when Loco Durazno came free, but Aurel Crivoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Loco Durazno made a precise shot to the right of Aurel Crivoi. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Bernt Offendahl was substituted for Alfred Mossberg. Golden Lions FC's İbrahim Efe Topdemir was substituted for Marcelo Steven. Aurel Crivoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mats Nyström in the 92nd minute of the match. Anders Lundqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Hermansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Golden Lions FC defense, Paul Hermansson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anders Lundqvist. The Golden Lions FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anders Lundqvist should have stopped the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
