The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dale Kinsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolo Paublo in the 3rd minute of the match. Dale Kinsey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolo Paublo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 9 minutes into the match, Pocklington FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Paublo came free, but Dale Kinsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto dos Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Rolando Sanchez made a huge save. 14 minutes into the match, Sutura's goalkeeper Rolando Sanchez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto dos Santos. Ernesto dos Santoss short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Rolando Sanchez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rolando Sanchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wes Swain in the 16th minute of play. Abel Gonza scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dale Kinsey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Paublo in the 26th minute of play forced Pocklington FC's goalkeeper Dale Kinsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Sutura were awarded a corner. Bartolo Paublo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Bartolo Paublo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pocklington FC's Dale Kinsey did a great save. The audience was convinced that Bartolo Paublo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dale Kinsey was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Dale Kinsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fu Zheng Ke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wes Swain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Rolando Sanchez made a huge save. After 42 played minutes Sutura got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Paris. In the 46th minute of the match Sutura got a corner. Pocklington FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bartolo Paublo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Pocklington FC's goalie and right to Abel Gonza. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Pocklington FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 46 minutes into the game, Abel Gonza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sutura's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pocklington FC the free kick. Abel Gonza kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The Pocklington FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sutura were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bartolo Paublo made a kick off. Rolando Sanchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dom Waple in the 54th minute of play. Pocklington FC were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Sutura's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ernesto dos Santos took the corner. Tod Clegg made a great header on Pocklington FC's corner, it was just that Sutura's Rolando Sanchez managed to reach the ball for a save. Rolando Sanchez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Pocklington FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Paublo came free, but Dale Kinsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The coaching staff of Pocklington FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tod Clegg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Pocklington FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Tod Clegg hit a great ball. Sutura's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
