When Arnaldo Cloyo fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Diablos Rojos's protests and gave Arnaldo Cloyo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Padinska Skela FK booed when Diablos Rojos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Cloyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jairo Ferdinand made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Dejan Ašćerić sent off a good shot on target. Padinska Skela FK's Petar Eškić got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teo Ilazki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Negovan Tomanović having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Diablos Rojos's Luciano Jorrin got a free kick in the 31st minute. Padinska Skela FK's Laza Zafirovski couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Diablos Rojos. Laza Zafirovski hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Dejan Ašćerić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Ferdinand having to interfere. Negovan Tomanović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Lucian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Petar Eškić was the one to do the kick off. Petar Eškić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Ferdinand having to interfere. After 55 played minutes Padinska Skela FK got a freekick which was hit by Nikola Zlatanović. Teo Ilazki was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 56th minute. Diablos Rojos's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Petar Eškić's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jairo Ferdinand read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. If Milan Poledica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Čeda Mrčić suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 63rd match minute, Diablos Rojos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaldo Cloyo to maneuver through the defense. Teo Ilazki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Negovan Tomanović having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Diablos Rojos's goal looked a bit too open when Dejan Ašćerić came free, but Jairo Ferdinand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Toma Maksić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Padinska Skela FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diablos Rojos the free kick. Froilan Lucian might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Negovan Tomanović. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diablos Rojos's Teo Ilazki got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teo Ilazki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Negovan Tomanović made a huge save. In a very dangerous position, a player in Padinska Skela FK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Negovan Tomanović, was totally fooled by Diablos Rojos's Jacinto Rosio, who 97 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Diablos Rojos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
