The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Gaitano got free with Barry Dawson in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 17 minutes into the game, Pastor Gonzales was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cadillo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pocklington FC the free kick. When Bill Fitter came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Pocklington FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bill Fitter couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute of the match, Daniel Gaitano got a very nice opportunity to score, but Barry Dawson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Rowan Avery came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Pocklington FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rowan Avery couldn't finish the play. If Rowan Avery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eustacio Bertin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bill Fitter, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36thth minute of the game Bill Fitter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cadillo AFC's Eustacio Bertin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Bruno Menendo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Pocklington FC's Barry Dawson. Barry Dawson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eustacio Bertin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bill Fitter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rowan Avery made a kick off. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pocklington FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
