Fodil Belloumi might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosimo Maranzano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fodil Belloumi to make the kick off. In the 93rd minute Soltani Mansouri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosimo Maranzano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Garibaldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Mo Team lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
