The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Armando Taddeo hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dante Baumar in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cosimo Maranzano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Cadillo AFC booed when Sangiuliano City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Serra didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Frank Garibaldi put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Eustacio Bertin. Cosimo Maranzano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dante Baumar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Frank Garibaldi came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Sangiuliano City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Garibaldi couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Cadillo AFC's Bruno Menendo got a free kick in the 19th minute. Orlando Mon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute Dante Baumar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosimo Maranzano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 played minutes Sangiuliano City got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Biondi. 32 minutes into the match, Sangiuliano City's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Baumar came free, but Cosimo Maranzano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Orlando Mon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cadillo AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 40 minutes into the match, Antonio Castellini dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eustacio Bertin, 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Dante Baumar made the kick off in the second half. Frank Garibaldi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Eustacio Bertin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 played minutes Cadillo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Gaitano. If Orlando Mon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Baumar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Cosimo Maranzano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute Dante Baumar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosimo Maranzano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Dante Baumar fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cosimo Maranzano, passed just outside the right post. 70 minutes into the game, Cadillo AFC's Orlando Mon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cosimo Maranzano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Antonio Castellini struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Eustacio Bertin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sangiuliano City. If Orlando Mon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Anthony Serra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Gaitano hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 88 played minutes Cadillo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Juan Maxin. Dante Baumar was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 92nd minute. Cadillo AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
