Jairo Ferdinand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cosimo Maranzano came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Diablos Rojos's Simon Lizer. But to his dismay, Simon Lizer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When Frank Garibaldi came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Sangiuliano City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Garibaldi couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute, Antonio Castellini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sangiuliano City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Jairo Ferdinand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Castellini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 minutes Sangiuliano City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jacinto Rosio who took care of the corner kick. Jacinto Rosio made a great header on Diablos Rojos's corner, it was just that Sangiuliano City's Cosimo Maranzano managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Frank Garibaldi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sangiuliano City's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Garibaldi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jairo Ferdinand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute, Antonio Castellini made a precise shot to the right of Jairo Ferdinand. Diablos Rojos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Diablos Rojos's Simon Lizer got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Arturo Biondi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Sangiuliano City's Antonio Castellini got a free kick in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonio Castellini to make the kick off. Antonio Castellini hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Cosimo Maranzano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulino Argina's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Cosimo Maranzano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Lizer in the 54th minute of play. Sangiuliano City's Frank Garibaldi got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Frank Garibaldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Diablos Rojos getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Froilan Lucian hit a great ball. If Frank Garibaldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 68 minutes, Simon Lizer made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Sangiuliano City's Cosimo Maranzano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 71 minutes into the match, Sangiuliano City's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Argina came free, but Cosimo Maranzano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hermengildo Dubardo kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. When Frank Garibaldi came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Sangiuliano City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Garibaldi couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulino Argina in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cosimo Maranzano saved Sangiuliano City from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Castellini in the 93rd minute of play forced Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Jairo Ferdinand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
