Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edinson Cavani in the 8th minute of the match. The supporters of UE Sant Julià booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perry Swanson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perry Swanson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edinson Cavani took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Johnnie Dobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Miralles in the 25th minute of play. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. Johnnie Dobson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Cotilla was a little too slow when Edinson Cavani got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 2-0. David López's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcos Cotilla firmly grabbed it by the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Perry Swanson made a kick off. After 53 minutes Panama's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ke Rong Zhen who took care of the corner kick. UE Sant Julià's Pierre Bull was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcos Cotilla in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 54th match minute, UE Sant Julià was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David López to maneuver through the defense. If Perry Swanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marc Ferré kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 65th minute of play forced UE Sant Julià's goalkeeper Johnnie Dobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. UE Sant Julià's Bobby Baxter was substituted for Bryan Hornsby. UE Sant Julià's Joe Argent was substituted for Ke Rong Zhen. UE Sant Julià's Johnnie Dobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 74th minute of play. Perry Swanson hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Abraham Alguacil made in the 90th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by UE Sant Julià's Joe Argent. 94 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Perry Swanson came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panama's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
