Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Scofield Vinciguerra in the 7th minute of play. Scofield Vinciguerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Moscatelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Acilia Town getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. He Le Ke hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 14th minute. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 15th minute, when Acilia Town's Diego Tozzi after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Jonathan Ferrant in Venezuela's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Scofield Vinciguerra in the 17th minute. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Acilia Town's Scofield Vinciguerra. But to his dismay, Scofield Vinciguerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Moscatelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 29th minute of the match. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Acilia Town's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. Jose Correa was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 33rdth minute of the game Scofield Vinciguerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 34th minute Acilia Town were awarded a corner. Diego Tozzi went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Acilia Town's corner Diego Tozzi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Alex Chicote in the 37th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Acilia Town's Franco Ucci. Scofield Vinciguerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. 40 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Scofield Vinciguerra came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Scofield Vinciguerra took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Scofield Vinciguerra charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Scofield Vinciguerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Scofield Vinciguerra hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Acilia Town's Dieguinho Tande was substituted for Scofield Vinciguerra. Acilia Town made a substitution. Alvaro Recoba replaced Diego Tozzi. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dieguinho Tande made a kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Acilia Town's Dieguinho Tande made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joshua Secada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute Dieguinho Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, Acilia Town's goalkeeper Ciro Moscatelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Ciro Moscatelli made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dieguinho Tande in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Acilia Town's Ciro Moscatelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Dieguinho Tande came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dieguinho Tande blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Acilia Town's Dieguinho Tande got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Illescas succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 89th playminute. In the 92nd minute, Dieguinho Tande left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Acilia Town fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Acilia Town fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
