Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Diamantino Brilhante kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Diamantino Brilhantes short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 14th minute, Diamantino Brilhante ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Brilhante in the 32nd minute of play. Thibaut Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 33 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Costa Rica's Axel Tasis fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 36th minute, 1. FC Polonia Nürnberg's Fahrudin Zaidović dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. 43 minutes into the game, Fahrudin Zaidović cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diamantino Brilhante made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 50th minute. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Diamantino Brilhante put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diamantino Brilhante in the 58th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diamantino Brilhante in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by 1. FC Polonia Nürnberg's Diamantino Brilhante. But to his dismay, Diamantino Brilhante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. If Ilja Keute had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 10-0 when Diamantino Brilhante sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. In the 87thth minute of the game Diamantino Brilhante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when 1. FC Polonia Nürnberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malte Wons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fahrudin Zaidović recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Brilhante in the 95th minute of play.
