A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Albert Rutledge scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 21 played minutes LA VIOLA got a freekick which was hit by Henrik Wickander. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Martinsson having to interfere. Osvald Uter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Isak Ahlbeck in the 27th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. In the 28th minute, Gottfrid Brenner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd match minute, LA VIOLA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Ove Abrahamsson to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Osvald Uter sent off a good shot on target. When Alex Chicote fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Alex Chicote a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, LA VIOLA's Albert Rutledge sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. LA VIOLA's Felix Martinsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. LA VIOLA's Felix Martinsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save LA VIOLA from getting a goal against them. In the 55th minute of the match Isak Ahlbeck sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. Felix Martinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 58th minute of play. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvald Uter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felix Martinsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 69th minute. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Felix Martinsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albert Rutledge's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Felix Martinsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gottfrid Brenner in the 80th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isak Ahlbeck hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Felix Martinsson was a little too slow when Tomas Illescas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 1-1. Jens-Ove Abrahamsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
