Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Miguel Transito started the match with the kick off. In the 4thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santa Maradona's Jonathan Errapel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Santa Maradona's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Jonathan Errapel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laureano Sustrai in the 15th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Laureano Sustrai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santa Maradona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 21stth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santa Maradona's Jonathan Errapel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Cristian Sancho put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Errapel. Jonathan Errapel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Laureano Sustrai hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute Haroldo Martxot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Sustrai came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Cordeiro in the 66th minute of play. The supporters of Santa Maradona booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Transito in the 71st minute of the match. After 71 minutes of play, Santa Maradona's Miguel Transito made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Santa Maradona booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Cordeiro in the 76th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Errapel having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolfo Cordeiro in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 96th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Errapel. Jonathan Errapel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3.
