Club Olimpia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luís Fernando Duarte in the 14th minute. Roberto Bueldi hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Nelson Haedo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Juvenal Moreira. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddie Wittingham in the 25th minute of play forced Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Alfredo Aguilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute Eddie Wittingham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Aguilar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Nelson Haedo sped through Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juvenal Moreira.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eddie Wittingham to strike the kick off in the second half. Juvenal Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Haedo in the 53rd minute of play. Nelson Haedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juvenal Moreira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s Juvenal Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelson Haedo in the 60th minute of play. Club Olimpia's 潘西德 was substituted for Roberto Bueldi. Juvenal Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson Haedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Club Olimpia's Alfredo Aguilar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Olimpia from getting a goal against them. Roque Gora scored 5-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juvenal Moreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfredo Aguilar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eddie Wittingham in the 82nd minute. Juvenal Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 潘西德, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Club Olimpia's Alfredo Aguilar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Club Olimpia from getting a goal against them. 96 minutes into the match, Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Roque Gora came free, but Juvenal Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Club Olimpia players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
