Cesar Claus hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Bankero FC's Ismael Frederico seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ismael Frederico the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bankero FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ismael Frederico had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bankero FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 19 minutes, Abbott AFC's Adolfo Eufrasio got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Eliseo Sazon. Alejo Leheren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Bertin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bankero FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardino Bertin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliseo Sazon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Rius, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the match, Bankero FC's goalkeeper Eliseo Sazon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tadeo Donio. The crowd rose to their feet as Abbott AFC's Americo Aballe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eliseo Sazon. That made the score 2-0 after 36 minutes of play. Bankero FC's Marcelino Tiniebra got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernardino Bertin scored 2-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alejo Leheren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adolfo Eufrasio's late challenge caught a Bankero FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Americo Aballe to strike the kick off in the second half. If Bernardino Bertin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 53 minutes, Marcial Rius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abbott AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcial Rius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alejo Leheren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Urbano Ortzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Abbott AFC's zone, Bernardino Bertin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alejo Leheren came out of the goal and Bernardino Bertin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victoriano Harriet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Alejo Leheren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Tadeo Donio made a precise shot to the right of Eliseo Sazon. Bankero FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1.
